Positives:
The area of the hotel is really been renovated and according to my family which are locals isn't trashy anymore. There is construction around the hotel in which is elevating the area and the apartments and other buildings are beautiful. I was worried about this area since my family told me after I booked it that its a bad area. But they soon changed there minds when they saw the hotel and the area. The hotel is beautiful with a great view of the water and boats in the Marina. Breakfast was good and changed a bit each morning. A lot of room in the dining, lounge area to sit with a large family to eat. It was kept clean and stocked the whole time there. Staff was very friendly and even interacted with my toddler and gave her free cup. She loved it. Because of the construction around the hotel a main water pipe burst and there was no water at the hotel for 1 day - from 2:30 am till 8:00 pm. This was at no fault of the hotel and they handled the best way the could. They even handled it gracefully when I kept calling to find out when and/or if the water will be turned back on that day.
Negatives:
We got there most expensive room with was to be a 2 bedroom suite. In-reality the room we got was just a 1 queen bedroom suite with a connected king room. It still worked for us with 4 adults and a toddler. The sofa bed in the living room was uncomfortable. The hotel seemed recently renovated but the beds, pillows and blankets/sheets did not. They are basic motel style and not comfortable. The pillows old and lumpy. The worse part for us was how LOUD the room is. We had a room looking out to the highway. This wouldn't be so bad (I don't mind facing a highway and can expect some type of noise) However, the room that had the one bedroom suite with kitchen didn't have an air conditioner as you would normally expect. A poorly makeshift air conditioner was placed in the window with plywood and a hole that was cut out the vent and a roll away air conditioner attached. So, this made no seal to the outside or the window. So, it was as if the highway was in your room. This also was the only air conditioner for two rooms (living room and bedroom separated by a door) So, for my toddler that was sleeping in the living room (no air-conditioner) it would get hot and so we had to keep our door open to keep it cool in the living room for her. Which defeated the purpose for us to get this room because we wanted to close the door to the bedroom so she could get sleep and keep it quite in the hotel room. This made me very angry as no one got good sleep, we were hot most of the time and it was loud in the room. For the kitchen we had to ask relatives to get us, knife, cutting board, dish soap, sponge, large mixing bowl.

Negatives:
I didnt realize the location was unsafe. Someone got mugged in front of hotel and I heard about a few auto thefts.. I also asked for a room with lake view but Sabrina was not helpful even though she had some available.

Positives:
The location wasn't bad. Right off the freeway but we didn't hear too much traffic noise. It was nice to be able to take a walk along the water. Breakfast options were good each morning.
Negatives:
The extra cost for parking wasn't great. We also were advised to bring everything in from the car. Traveling with children, that meant bringing in their car seats every night as well. Luckily being in a suite room we had plenty of space inside.
Review
Pricey, especially with having additional parking fees. Hotel was decent.
Positives:
The customer service
Negatives:
The pool
