The only thing I liked is that I had a place to sleep while in town visiting family.
Negatives:
The black mold on the ceiling above the shower and the fact it's also falling apart.
And while I was waiting to check in, the owner was very rude and cursed at a customer who was being very polite while telling him about the condition of the room she had rented.

I didn't notice this -- but my companion couldn't sleep because of the smell of cigarette smoke in the room. There was also a man next door smoking a cigarette on the walkway between the rooms.

Nothing about it. In fact it was so bad I returned the key and asked for a refund.
Refund was denied.
Negatives:
Very sketchy area with lots of suspicious people pushing shopping carts milling around. Did not feel safe in person or property.
Requested a safe place to park within view from my room or office, instead instructed to park behind building next to dumpster.
Neighboring hotel guest said hote owner rents rooms weekly and monthly creating undesirable atmosphere.

The staff was super friendly! Very hospitable. The room was clean and quaint. Comfortable to sleep in.
Negatives:
The towels were stained and didn't give me the impression that they were clean. The drain for the sink had flies coming out of it.

Room and bed were clean and A/C was fairly quiet. Large king room with a sofa.
Negatives:
Did not live up to the "super start" breakfast that Super8 advertises. Very little other than bagged pastries and coffee. Nothing else. Waited over 20 minutes to check in. No staff on duty at desk. Had to pound on doors to wake someone up. No ADA height toilet. Poor water pressure. Could invest in some better towels that don't feel like locker room rejects. Ice machine looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years.
