Conveniently close to the Ferry Terminal and Embarcadero but the neighborhood is typical business district: devoid of life after 6PM. You're usually better off just ordering delivery than trying to find a good place to eat nearby.
Negatives:
The facilities are a little dated and there's nothing notable overall. It could use an update.

The rug was old, room dark, and heater wasn’t quite working. The door to the cabinet holding the refrigerator was crooked / loose. I asked for no housekeeping, but housekeeping came and left a cleaning towel.

I booked a suite for a business trip and while it woudl have been fine for me alone, the room looks tired with oldish furnitures and appliances.
Friendly staff. To be fair, the price was lower than other similarly located hotels.
