We did enjoy our stay very much and would recommend this hotel, especially due to the great service that was offered. We arrived late & got assigned a different room type than what we booked. The staff at reception couldn't be more apologetic and made it worth by offering compensation.
Nice grounds (incl pool with comfortable seats), nice rooms, comfortable beds, restaurant with great food & excellent cocktails, breakfast restaurant with good options and good coffee.
Negatives:
Price was on the high side, especially because the hotel is located quite a bit outside of Santa Barbara, although it's an easy drive into SB.
If you want to park your car, the hotel charges a parking fee that is higher than most places in Santa Barbara.
