Larkspur Landing South San Francisco - An All-Suite Hotel

Negatives: For two consecutive nights there were people ( more than one in)the Attic doing something all night long both nights. The manager claims to not know anything about people in the Attic.  I stayed in two different rooms and both had holes in the ceiling capable of housing a camera. I ended up calling the police department and they showed up but could not get permission to look in the Attic or acknowledgement anybody was even there. The owner claims she does not know where the attic access is to the building and refused to let me take a peek in the Attic with the only one I saw. That attic access just so happened to be unlocked last night and has no cover on it. And if I didn't look the guy in the Attic in the face and ask him what he was doing I probably wouldn't have wrote this review but when I hit the ceiling with a pole to tell him to a little quieter, especially being 4:00 in the morning right where I chose to tap the ceiling happened to be a wet spot due to a plumbing leak  and it went through the ceiling so I able to put my face close to it and could see the people 5 ft from me. It seems a little odd that for two nights in a row people are working in the Attic or doing something and management doesn't know anything about it, and then refuse to let someone look to see what's going on. And another thing that was disturbing as I bought  the materials to patch the hole that I made in the ceiling and was not completely done patching it only at first coat and she is all the sudden rushing me out of here soon as I asked to gain access to the Attic. everything points straight at extremely poor management / ownership and lack of concern of customers privacy and safety in this instance. If you ask me it's kind of hard to believe they didn't know people were in their attic two nights in a row for 12 plus hours.

Negatives: Cleanliness was bad. There was a large mattress left in the room which blocked access to half the suite. It was not removed for two days.

Negatives: Bed made little noise when moving.

Negatives: Breakfast quality isn’t up to standard especially the eggs

Negatives: Staff, room could have been cleaner

Negatives: Everything was pleasant

Negatives: The hallway carpeting needs replacement. We observed the carpets on two floors as we changed to a King room on another floor. There are large white spots on it where someone probably used bleach to spotclean it. There is probably a staff shortage because the housekeepers never made it to our room despite being asked and putting out the hang card asking for service and asking the desk to request them to make up our room every day.

Negatives: The clerks were a little perfunctory in performance of their duties. Didn't once thank me for my patronage nor did they tell me about the breakfast until I asked.

Negatives: Room had an odor, had to crack windows to air out. At one point, the hallways and the room smelled like smoke although it was a nonsmoking room. Everything was dusty and didn’t seem clean. Some of the towels and pillowcases were stained as well as the bathtub. After staying a few days, I requested a new set of towels and it took a few hours, a few phone calls and a visit to the front desk to finally get them. And of course, they too were stained. Some of the plates stored in the cabinet were dirty so had to wash everything before using. The outside of the refrigerator was sticky and confusing to open. The carpet was very worn and didn’t seem clean.
