The property was great! The location was exceptional, a lot of places were walking distance and the neighborhood felt very safe and comfortable to walk around freely. Bed was really comfy , love that they had a soak tub. Also loved that there was a guide for the tv makes the watching experience a lot more simple.
Negatives:
The elevator had some issues and thankfully was working when I needed it to check out. Breakfast is more a a snack bar but still cool to have. Better than no breakfast , had some fruit the morning of checkout :)

Nice comfy 1 day stay
Positives:
Grand Hotel used to be our favorite, but this visit it disappointed. The physical facilities remained good. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. However, several critical aspects seem to have deteriorated.
1. Staff. Starting at the front desk, on to the snack server, the staff seem to regard us, the guests, as a nuisance.
2. Maintenance. The jacuzzi was not working; The elevator was intermittent; The shower door did not close properly, bed lights did not light; etc.
3. Breakfast quality declined to an average motel level.

Positives:
This is my 5th stay in 2 years. The staff is very helpful. There is no microwave in the room, but I requested one and it was brought to my room. The layout of the room is nice with desk, couch, 2 bathroom basins, 2 person bathtub and shower with lots of pressure. My boyfriend said I am going to miss that shower!
Negatives:
Hot food has been discontinued for happy hour, breakfast as well as room service. For Happy Hour you get 2 drinks and there used to be hot food like empanadas, fried mozzarela as well as cold cuts, cheeses, nuts, salsa, chips etc. Our Friday happy hour was make your own salad. Breakfast used to be a full hot breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles and made to order omelet, plus fruit, yogurt, cereal and pastries. Hot food is completely gone and left with bare minimum continental breakfast. Elevator was broken. 1st floor ice maker was broken had to go to 3rd floor to get ice.

On my arrival the elevator was working only sporadically. I asked the desk clerk that checked me in to direct me to the stairs. SHE SAID THERE WERE NO STAIRS. I told her there had to be a staircase somewhere. She just said she was sorry and walked off.
I was about to check back out of the hotel when another guest said she found the stairs and directed me to them. Over the next two days i asked the other desk clerks where the stairs were and they all knew where they were located.
