Best Western Miners Inn

Negatives: They are going through owner transition and are experiencing some previous owner irresponsibility. Current owner is doing what he can to make sure hotel is being supplied with what we as guest are needing/paying for!

Negatives: Having bad allergy reaction but our schedule is hard to get the floors steam cleaned and get the rooms cleaned at times! Asked hotel employee for body wash to be replaced in shower. Im guessing because the hotel is in transition the supplies are hard to come by?

Negatives: Some of the staff was rude, they acted like I was causing trouble when I asked for help. I changed rooms the first night because the room looked dingy, the next room had a broken refrigerator that I called 3 times in 2 days to fix, the carpet was sticky from not being cleaned, the curtain was broken and I had to clip the curtains closed with one of my clips I had on a business package, the bathroom curtain looked like it had not been washed in a month, I wondered if my sheets were clean. The air conditioning smelled. The bed was completely uncomfortable, I kept rolling off the edge because it was so worn down. My room was upstairs and they had no elevator, so I dragged my luggage up myself, to stairs looked like they needed a good steam cleaning (first sign of lack of regard for their patrons, dirty stairs). I was supposed to stay 3 nights and checked out after night 2 when my refrigerator was still not fixed. I insisted on a discount and they gave me a big discount of $40, I should have insisted on a full refund, but I didn't want any more hassle. Overall, this was the WORST hotel experience I have had for a very very long time. I will not go back to the Best Western in Yreka, and honestly, will hesitate to ever stay at a Best Western again.

Negatives: sheets and comforter have spots on them, the outside, stairs, etc were filthy! Our room key didn't work the second day, didn't find out until we tried to enter the room that night, had to go back to the desk to get it recoded. This hotel is very tired, in need of an update!

Negatives: Mattress is older and sags on each side. Needs to be replaced.

Negatives: The room's door was not closed when I arrived. The toilet seat was missing one of its two fasteners, and the other one was loose. The TV did not work. The check-in featured a perfunctory explanation of the room's location, wifi login, etc, from a robotic clerk. When I went back to the office to talk about the TV problem, I was told they knew about it, that they were in the process of replacing that problematic brand of TV, and that I should "jiggle" the controls on the side of the TV and ignore the remote. That didn't work, and the only way to shut the TV off was to unplug it.

Negatives: Clean, good staff, pretty good breakfast, easy on off fwy. Close gas and restaurants

Negatives: Two weeks ago we had booked two queen beds for a friend and I, when we got there we had one king and it was not our intention to sleep in the same bed. They were unable to do anything for it so we kept the reservation with the single King. We asked for more pillows we received only one. Then when the morning came around there was only one towel, when we called the desk they said that they would be glad to give us one if we wanted to come up and get them. I replied it's supposed to be in my room and let it go. When I did go to shower they had dispensers in the shower two shampoos and one conditioner. No body soap. We had one small bar to wash our hands and our bodies. Did not win many points there.
