Positives: Ruben at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. My room was ready much earlier than the regular check-in time. There was a cozy sitting area.
Negatives: The sliding glass door to the patio did not close properly, so there was a draft. There was no elevator.

Negatives: Our experience at the Aspen Mountain Lodge was pleasant. Our experience working with Vacasa, who managed the reservation, was very unpleasant. Our reservation was changed by Vacasa- and required follow up. We couldn't get anyone to confirm Vacasa's change until 2 hrs before check-in and after multiple emails and phone calls.

Positives: The location was good and within convenient distance of the shops in Aspen.
Negatives: I hated that the stay was unchangeable and that I had to book a separate night to go from a 1 night to 2 night stay. I hate that all belongings in our bathroom was cleaned out and thrown away by housekeeping. This includes my daughter’s prescription glasses. Things like deodorant and toothpaste that were tossed out were annoying but the loss of the glasses really burns. I don’t believe we were “robbed” or any such thing but rather that someone chose to do a clean sweep of the bathroom and felt that our belongings in there were disposable. I did leave a $20 tip for housekeeping before we left the room and I did ensure with the management the night before that we could string the two separate nights together and leave our things in while we were away. I despise that there was no English-speaking staff or any form of management onsite to talk to about it. We’re going to have to eat the costs of this (the prescription glasses) and the stay is already extremely expensive. It’s Aspen, I get it that everything is triple-priced. We did find a housekeeper that we could somewhat communicate with and she said she’d ask others and confirmed our room number. We never heard from her again. The initial setup also had Vacasa contacting me to tell me that my stay(s) would be cancelled if I didn’t pay within 24 hours even though I already paid through Booking.com. I had to spend so much time with Booking.com and Vacasa’s layers of customer service to resolve my double-payment. As for the hotel, I had two terrible nights of sleep. Every sound outside is audible through the sliding door and through the defunct vent in the bathroom that must’ve once served a purpose. Every late night drunken laugh in the lobby was also loud and clear.
