Hyatt Regency Greenwich

Negatives: We have been here before we loved it so much we rebooked when I had work in the area. Arrived this year to find the hotel in complete construction NOT just the lobby area. Which is how it is worded online. The entire atrium was gutted. Construction zone and boards up with dirt, dust and saws construction sounds everywhere. Make shift lobby desk at back door. We had no idea the hotel was under this much renovation. Online suggesting the lobby area under refurbishment but the entire center of the hotel atrium (which is the biggest part of this hotel) under major construction impacting the whole hotel. No easy access to facilities that might be seconds away, having to walk around even outside around exterior of hotel to access spaces seconds away from the inside. Hallways had food and trash. Rude and unruly guests, drunk/high running through the hallway outside our room at midnight. Still no restaurant. We came back for that atrium and peace. We booked and paid for an atrium view and got moved to a street view. Honestly with the hotel in such a mess no atriums rooms SHOULD be an option at all. Unfair to allow guests to choose an atrium room online knowing full well the condition and disruption to your stay. No discount or price change after the room changes. We will probably not be back, and will have to find a different area hotel. Also $20 per day to park.

Negatives: The property needs some sprucing up and updating. The staff were great. They also told us that the property is being renovated including the restaurant and the rooms.

Negatives: Room Service never came. Construction was not shared and no dining. Long Walks Paid Parking ????

Negatives: The bar and restaurant courtyard was gutted under construction,All meals delivered in brown paper bags with plastic plates and utensils,Breafast was terrible

Negatives: Under renovation. No forewarning.

Negatives: I stayed for one night not two so please check your records and make any necessary adjustments, this was confirmed with the front office I’d be charged for one night. 1.) my room was listed as vacant after I checked in and an associate was knocking on my door and started to walk-in after my tag was on the door. I was literally going into the shower. 2,) there was a rodent in my room eating the food I ordered 3) I had no idea the magnitude of construction and that I couldn’t even go to a bar / resteraunt outside of a market. I felt like I was in Covid. It was creepy and awful.

Negatives: Ice machines on most floors not working. They allow dogs, could hear barking dog in room next to mine. Also worry about dogs bringing fleas into hotel. Long walk from parking lot to rooms.

Negatives: Staff wasn’t very helpful. Wasn’t notified of atrium view being under construction until 24 hrs Before stay. Breakfast food was absolutely disgusting.

Negatives: The building was under renovations and there was a lot of dust on the main floor!
