Positives:
Great place to stay. Well located, quiet, comfortable and large room and bed, staff are polite, interested and helpful. Main issue was that wifi was intermittently not working in my room due to a poor signal.

Positives:
It was located in a quiet area that was away from the city center but close enough that we could walk to restaurants and the metro. It was also visually appealing and clean- minus the cockroaches that randomly appeared in the bathroom.
Negatives:
The communication about their garage being closed was no where to be found on their website. They posted it would be open after renovations on January 1, 2024. We arrived in April and it was closed. They also did not have any type of air on for our room.

The bathroom is very nice and big. The king size bed is also very comfortable.

There were many students staying at the hotel and they were noisy.

Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful! Neighborhood well above average. Happy hour was a nice treat. Lots of close restaurants.
Negatives:
Heat to the building was permanently turned off, but staff did not make that clear until we asked why our heater only blew cold air. Wi-Fi terrible - almost a deal breaker.

Positives:
Hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood, a short walk to nearest metro & to Adams Morgan area. Breakfast selection in this hotel may be limited for choice for some people, but to me it was fine. The wine & cheese hour (between 5&6pm) is a nice touch for the guests & the wines on offer were good enough.
Negatives:
Furnishings in my room needed updating; i.e. curtains (could only have 1 open, the other was broken), a stained & faded pink (?) upholstered chair (I would dump that straightaway) & big bathroom mirror had a huge crack in it. Shame, because apart from these it was a spacious & comfortable room, with a good sized fridge & wardrobe.

I forgot and left my suit inside the wardrobe when I checked out. The same day evening, I contacted the staff, the next day and the next week I also contacted the hotel. They only said will check… and no update.

Positives:
The Normandy was in a quiet and beautiful part near Kalorama and 10 min walk to DuPont Circle and Adams Morgan. Super friendly staff who were always smiling and said hello. The building seemed more like a house than a hotel and room feels very cozy. Parking is available in their garage for $42 per day, but neighborhood parking is free on the weekends after 8:30pm on Fridays.
Negatives:
The air conditioning was not working, so we had to open the small window for a breeze, which made the sounds from outside more amplified.

I like the room and the overall appearance of the hotel. It had a regal and vintage aesthetic to the hallways and rooms. Overall, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating with me during my travel. Special thanks to hotel employee who helped me check in.
Negatives:
I do think the room is decent size if you were traveling with a partner, however, I do think the views outside the window was not as pleasant. The window was not overlooking the city, it was facing the side of the building.
