Location was good. The room is very spacious and clean and had all the amenities.
Negatives:
Some of the staff members were not very friendly.
I had two long flights from Brisbane, Australia to Miami and I arrived early in the morning. I went to the property to talk to someone at least to leave my luggage (I had 3) until I was able to check in.
There was a security guy (a black American guy) who was so rude and who didn’t even talk to me decently. He straight away said that I didn’t have a booking which made me really anxious. He was not helpful at all.
(I personally believe he is a homophobic straight guy who does the job just because he needs the job)
I was very disappointed and I was very tired and I hung around. Went back and saw a staff member and was able to leave my luggage in a locker however I felt like the staff did not try to help me with a little early check in (they should have understood my situation) and at the end (close to 4.00 pm) I went back and asked whether I can have my room and I am happy to pay any extra for early check in. I felt like they held the room until it was closer to 4.00 though they had it vacant.
This was not what I expected especially after travelling all the way from Australia.
Quite disappointed.
