Location. Quiet Extremely Quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Best sleeps ever. Free Beach chairs. Staff was all great.

Patio area wasn’t cozy comfortable but was nice to have one. Living room wasn’t comfortable either. If you got rid of breakfast I wouldn’t care. boiled eggs would be better and add sausage patties.

Very well located hotel in the middle of art deco zone. Everything in walking distance. Extremely nice and friendly staff. Room was very spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is simple, but sufficient.

Positives:
The Rivière has an excellent location, but it’s more a boarding house than a hotel. You must be able to carry your bags up the stairs (no elevator, no assistance). My booked room was at the top of 22 steps. The room was very large, clean and comfortable (good mattress) but facing the street and lots of noise from passers by in the middle of the night.
Negatives:
It was expensive for a two night stay (over $840). I would have done better at a full service hotel. When we arrived late afternoon, the door to our room was locked from inside, and it took over an hour for someone to be summoned and to get the door opened. Had we arrived late we would have been out of luck (reception is unmanned from 10:30 pm to 7:30 am). Buffet Breakfast was poor. Found a great coffee and breakfast place a few blocks away.
