I liked that the pool was there and had it to ourselves and the back stairs were awesome too.

A roach came out of the fridge when we got there it smelled like pee from the rug the door lock was loose.

Clean rooms, free breakfast, loved that I could fish and swim right there at the hotel. Nice staff.

The breakfast was good but it seemed if you didn’t get there as soon as it was starting you did not get to eat. Still waiting on my $250 deposit refund to me.

This hotel is close to Lake Okeechobee, although it is not located on the lake as it seems.
Negatives:
I showed up for check in at 2:35, but was told that I have to wait till after 3pm. Terrible customer service for a hotel that looks like a dump. This place also doesn’t seem safe for a family, as there are shady people who stay here and hang around the building. The hotel itself is so dirty and smells bad. No thank you. It was worth staying at the Hilton for just $40 more.

Although the interior is a bit dated and can used a refresh, the location is wonderful. The garden and swimming pool just great to relax. Plenty of wildlife around to observe from close quarters too. It all together lakes for an enjoyable stay and look over the dated interior. Price/quality is excellent.
Negatives:
The interior could use a good refurbishment. The exterior has already received such an uplift. Otherwise there is not much to dislike. Friendly staff, great and convenient location. Dated interior but clean.

Great location, swimming pool, nature to observe in the back yard / pier. Great observation deck too. Very nice and wzelcome stop. Plenty bars in vicintity for a good night out. Back to Butch's Bar highly recommended: cheapest watering hole in the USA.

Sadly the excellently located and beautiful Pier II Boathouse Lounge remains closed. When it re-opens it woud be amazing added value to staying here.

Gross! Room smelled like smoke. Roaches crawling around on the floor. When I checked in they wanted to charge me $250 deposit and made no mention of a deposit when I reserved the room. I reserved a king suite and they told me none were available. Was woken up at 7am by house keeping just walking into our room while we were sleeping.
