Lotus Boutique Inn and Suites

Negatives: We stayed here 3x in the last 10 years. The rooms/hotel in general need some TLC. A paint job, good deep cleaning, electrical fixtures fixed/replaced. The beds are super hard and need updating. Our toilet was tipsy and needed to be tightened down. Hot tub was not working.

Negatives: There was an odd smell, as if there had been animals in the room recently. Our key did not work multiple times. Had to go to front lobby 3 times for re-key. Staff was not pleasant.

Negatives: Would have liked to have an oceanfront room!

Negatives: Upon check in at 3pm we found there to already be quite a long line. It look a very long time to get checked in for each person making the wait quite long. A day prior to check in we had decided to “upgrade” our room to a deluxe queen suite with a kitchenette. Ups on arrival to our room we found that our room was directly across from the stairwell, making us nervous as we are two females traveling alone. Once we got inside of the room things only got worse. We discovered our room had no widows to the outdoors, just a window to the hallway which was directly in front of the stairwell. With it being such a high traffic area of the hotel it made us very uncomfortable to have the curtains drawn as people kept walking by and looking into our room. The room was also not clean. There was so much dust and there were some stains on the linens. There were also two televisions placed directly in front of one another. Only one was operational. Since we had to keep the blinds drawn on the only window for safety purposes, it was very dark inside of the room. There were 3 lights in the main room, unfortunately one was working. We tried calling the front desk three times to express how the room was not meeting our expectations and no one answered the phone. We went to the front desk and told how we did not feel comfortable in the room and requested a room with a balcony/any room with windows to the outdoors in a different location on the property. We were told by staff that there were no rooms with windows available. At this point we decided to try to stay in the room provided. We went to the beach and upon return to our room we found a takeout menu pushed all the way into our room since the lock to the room was so loose. That night we felt so uncomfortable we put a chair in front of the door to help us feel safer. After one night we decided we needed to find a new accommodation as soon as we woke up. Tried to cancel early on booking.

Negatives: Location advertised a continental breakfast. Actual breakfast was coffee muffins and one day orange juice. Location would benefit by adding a toaster some bread with butter for toasting and some jams bagels milk cereal to make it a true continental breakfast.

Negatives: Check-in. Security deposit required, and not a friendly space.

Negatives: Indian employee is nice but African American employee is rude. Lock doesn’t work. Room is very dark. TV has no channel but digital TV.

Negatives: Hotel needs some updating

Negatives: Hot tub was broken. Pool was dirty. Can't use pool or hot tub after dusk.. these are the reasons I stayed here cuz it used to be really nice in the past but the place has gone downhill. Couldn't use any of the features that I came here for. No more fire pits at night and they're just not keeping up with the maintenance of the place

Negatives: The gentleman that checked us in was friendly & helpful. The 2nd shift gentleman, not so much. The website states the pool is heated, the pool is NOT heated. The spa was heated. However, the jets do NOT work.
