Our room was facing the parking lot and the trash containers were emptied at 3:00am! May have been an outside waste management company but was very loud and disturbing.

The location is good - close to the Interstate and close to beaches. Also not far from the person I was visiting. Hotel prices seem exorbitant (especially with $15/day city tax!), but Microtel seems to be slightly more reasonable than others in the area.
Negatives:
Breakfast is strictly continental. Eggs and sausage on the weekend would be nice. A steady diet of oatmeal, waffles and pancakes gets old There are NO safety bars in the bathtub! Plan how to get out of the tub before you get in.
