Valet was fast and efficient. Nolan Perez was outstanding and provided extraordinary services by helping with shuttle, places to go and always offering to carry your bags. Front desk was friendly and restaurant staff was very attentive.

Bell hopper availability was challenging but that might be due to spring break

The Westin Sarasota is a business hotel close to ‘aim Street, which reminds me of a city. It is not a good choice for a long beach weekend. If going for a long weekend, you best bet is to stay at a hotel or rental close or on the Lido Beach. The valet and shuttle staff are very responsive. While everyone is quite friendly, the service is super slow at the onsite hotel restaurant. The rooftop bar staff is excellent. However, the rooftop pool is lame.

Meh. Nice business hotel but...
Positives:
Room was very clean, although the mini fridge was frozen when we got there but my husband defrosted it. The pool was on the rooftop with an amazing view. The breakfast in the hotel was amazing. Loved the rooftop bar!

The location was close to many things to do
Negatives:
The service was the worst I’ve experienced at any Westin I’ve stayed before. Had to continuously request room service & they still did not come. The 2 times they came during my 5 night stay the only thing they did was make the bed and give me new towels. The room smelled terrible. After notifying the front desk of the room/room service issue they said they’d look into it and did nothing. Did the same the next day. Staff and service was terrible. For the price tag the service should be great and the staff exceptional. I’ve had better service and cleanliness at cheaper hotels.
