Positives:
Our room with ceiling to floor windows overlooked the river and the riverwalk. We drank wine and watched fireworks seated at our window - amazing!! It was our 49th wedding anniversary and my sister and brother-in-law came over and we had drinks and snacks in the cozy bar/restaurant on the 1st floor. We received excellent service, and the food was fantastic.
We are already planning another trip and will be staying at the Barrymore Hotel Tampa.

I was unaware that this hotel doubled as a college dorm as well. We got woke up at 2:15am by a fire alarm that one of them pulled and sat outside for 45 min. Also the pool closes at dusk.

It was a nice place.
Positives:
Came to Tampa for a Lightning game and stayed for 1 night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was updated and shower was hot and had good pressure. Best was the shuttle bus and especially the driver who was engaging and funny. It was pouring rain and he dropped us off at our dinner restaurant and picked us up near the Amalie Arena after the game.

The room was too horrible to notice anything nice I wasted $185
Negatives:
The shower clogged my entire stay I had to bathe in my own body filth. A used shower cap was out in the open on the bathroom counter and it smelled exactly like a musty Caucasian person. I know the distinct smell because I’m a black woman.
