Positives: Recently stayed at the Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel's proximity to Diamond Head and numerous beaches was perfect for our daily explorations. Each day began with breathtaking views and ended with amazing dinners at their restaurant. The serene, Zen-like ambiance of the hotel, combined with its lush gardens, provided a tranquil retreat from our beach adventures. The commitment to cleanliness and thoughtful amenities added to the overall excellence of our stay. Highly recommend for those seeking a blend of luxury, comfort, and convenient access to Honolulu's natural beauty.
Negatives: The only drawback of our stay was the limited breakfast and lunch options in the immediate vicinity, though we found more variety a short distance away.

Our stay at the Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head was a perfect blend of serene luxury, culinary delight, and unparalleled

Positives: Friendly staff
Negatives: They only offered a significant $ per diem extra package to receive the usual facilities of most other better hotels eg wifi. Original description on booking .com was parking was free which was why we elected to stay at it as it is about 1-5km away from Waikiki, but when we arrived there was only valet parking at extra expense per diem

Good location very helpful staff

Positives: Absolutely everything, complimentary laundry facilities was a bonus, as was the complimentary glasses of wine each night. Loved the Illy coffee pods with "real" cups unlike most other hotels with paper cups, loved the slippers, robes and the drink bottles. Staff friendly and helpful with special mention to Lehua for making our stay special with her kindness
Negatives: Nothing. I believe the restaurant has only recently reopened, would be added bonus if they opened for breakfast sometime in the future

Great location, all the little extras making our stay outstanding

Positives: Good location off the Waikiki strip. Not as loud and more private. Still has decent views towards the top. And loved seeing Diamond head. Balcony was large and clean so that was nice to hangout on. The restaurant when open was nicely designed, and very high end feeling. Glad they added a gym, hard to do without. Hope they maintain the facility and equipment so its still usable and safe to use, for cleanliness and things too.
Negatives: AC was broken at the worst times of the night in our room. And being on the high level, it gets hot at the top. Staff admitted that was happening and hoped it would be fixed. Not much they could do, they were all very sweet, but definitely a bummer given the steep price of the hotel rooms per night. The bathrooms look like theres some build up of grime and bacteria or mold. I know its an old building, but it is also a bit of a rough thing to see. Wish it had some kind of breakfast or coffee in the lobby or open the restaurant given the limited amenities off the strip, vs staying at other hotels on the strip, with everything just below them. But still is worth staying away from the hustle and louder side unless you have a young family where convenience may be top priority.

Positives: Great location! Glad to be away from the bustle of downtown. The staff was top notch especially the young men working the valet! Those guys were working hard and always with the kindest of smiles on their faces. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. The coffee in the room was yummy, as was the complimentary wine in the lobby.
Negatives: The photos online of the Ocean View room were a bit misleading. Online showed a balcony overlooking the ocean. In reality, the hotel is not directly on the ocean/beach. We had a great view of Diamond Head, but the ocean was hardly visible between the buildings and parking lot. Booking has it listed as 60 steps to the beach, but this was also not the case. The beach was a walk, a few blocks down and around behind the neighboring hotel. The elevator was very jumpy (and smelly) so it made me nervous to use. One night, our AC stopped working making the night VERY hot, but it seemed to have corrected itself by morning. Overall we had a pleasant stay, but I was frustrated by the misleading images and description.

Positives: The staff was incredible. Christie ann, Cody, Zayisha, Trevor, James and housekeeping Mari & George (27 years there). All went out of their way to make our stay memorable and just like home only better. Former restaurant was no long there but a new boutique speciality restaurant (Arden) is opening next week. Staff got us in to try and the food was amazing. We had 3 dishes; each was unusual and a delight to the palate. The hotel and restaurant have views of the park and is quieter than many while still having easy access to Waikiki.
Negatives: It is a little older but they work hard to keep it clean and with all the amenities

This was our 4th stay there and we recommend it to all our friends who go to Honolulu
Michael Traveling as Couple October 14, 2023
Positives: The property is beautifully renovated. Rooms are large and comfortable. Location is quiet - away from the bustle of Waikiki but not too far away in a 10 minute walk. ChristieAnn from the front desk is super nice and friendly!
