Positives:
This is a great location, wish we would have stayed here our entire trip rather than further up Waikiki beach. Hotel has chairs and towels for beach, its clean, great views and wonderful staff. Definitely recommend this hotel, and very affordable too!

Nice relaxed atmosphere , helpful staff. Good coffee, good facilities and a lot of places on 1st and 2nd floor to spend time with friends. Beds are comfy.
Negatives:
Pool is rather small and not appealing. Beach is close, but it's not the one we wanted to spend most of the time on. Rooms with city view also face hostel and it's noisy in the evenings.

Overall the hotel is nice, it looks good with a great vibe and most of the staff are friendly. There are a lot of great facilities and its in a great location. It was great to have the water refill stations. Bed was comfy and room was clean, shower good etc. we wouldve stayed here again.
Negatives:
Unfortunately we didnt get the room we had booked and paid for in advance (studio with ocean view). We were upgraded to room 418 because they were full. The room was nice but Im not sure why hotels over book when someone has already paid?
Room 418 should never be booked out to customers as it is above the restaurant,even the staff said it would be loud. (literally open air, watching people eat from the balcony) and thats not the loud part. Music etc is fine. Its while the clean up overnight goes on and early in the morning (1am, 5am) all you can hear are tables and chairs being dragged across the floor, so we didnt sleep very well. We were only there for a weekend or we wouldve changed hotels as they were full and we were outside most of the time anyway. Make sure you get the room you paid for!

The restaurant was nice, the beach, chairs and towels were really great, help and staff are all wonderful.
Negatives:
I didnt really care too much that they allow dogs. As much as I love dogs, I dont think that they should be locked in a hotel room. Ours had a spot where you could tell a dog had peed. And they dont really take very good care of the outside patio off of your room. It was dirty with bird poo, and they dont sweep the sand off of the patio either. I also know that its not their fault, but the rooster woke us up every day. They really ought to take it and move it like inside the zoo someplace because Im sure that if its waking me up, its waking everybody else up too. We had to bring our own coffee maker. They do have a coffee shop downstairs, but who wants to go down there in their pajamas every day to get their coffee.
