The guest rooms feature air conditioning, a TV with cable channels, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, an in-room safe, and a writing desk with a chair. The private bathroom includes a bathrobe, free toiletries, a hair dryer, and ironing facilities. The Fairmont Orchid’s stunning beachfront location of white sandy beach and aquamarine waters even attracts a family of sea turtles. The resort scenery includes landscaped gardens and gorgeous waterfalls and a 10,000 square foot free form pool. Resort facilities include a wide range of restaurants and bars, 10 tennis courts, 36 holes of golf, and a unique outdoor Hawaiian ‘Spa Without Walls’, which features waterfall massage huts and massage cabanas. A casual dining experience can be found at the Hale Kai Restaurant. The Binchotan sushi at Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar is also available, while the three-day rotating breakfast buffet at Orchid Court is also offered. ‘Anaeho'omalu Beach, or A-Bay, is 5.6 mi away, while Waialea Bay is 6.2 mi away.

Positives:
Beach: The beach was great. Plenty of seating, very easy to rent equipment to go do several things. The 1 hour free snorkeling includes each day was a great hit for us. Swam with several turtles. The reef isn't necessarily the most colorfull and lively we've ever seen, but definitely still very beautiful to look at.
We're a bit adventurous, so we wanted to rent paddle bords, kayaks and surf boards to go out off the cove with, but that wasn't allowed without a guide. They could be utilised inside the cove.
Room: The room was very nice. Bathroom was great and there was a lot of closet space. The TV was an older model, so it wasn't possible to stream anything or cast to it, which didn't bother us, but definitely is notable if that is a requirement.
Food: We mainly ate at the breakfast buffet, which was quite varied. Enjoyed the fact that you could get freshly made omelets by a chef every morning.
Ate dinner at Browns looking at the sunset. The food was great and can definitely recommend that. The purple Ube bread, that they served was a highligt and the service was super good
Negatives:
The service as the breakfast was a bit distant. Could be hard to get a spoon, to-go cup og things like that.

The location can’t be beat! Right on the ocean, you can sit by the water to have your morning coffee and watch the surfers and boogie boarders catch 20 foot waves. The beach was officially closed because of swells, but there is a small cove that was protected where we risked going in. The pool is very large and didn’t feel crowded, although later in the day, a lot of people are in there with their drinks, and many don’t get out. Draw your own conclusions.
Negatives:
We paid up for a full ocean view room. Their definition of ocean view is different than mine. It was a full golf course view until you go out on the balcony and look left. Then it is about 1/3 ocean view.
