Super convenient location for my overnight business trip—beer festival at Museum of Science and Industry.
Relatively cheap room that comes with free parking and breakfast, plus a view of the lake at sunrise!
Even though I stayed on a Saturday night, the hotel itself was pretty quiet and we saw very few other guests during the stay. My impression is the hotel doesn’t have many rooms, which is great.
The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable (no bed bugs, either, we always examine bedding with flashlights before use).
Check-in and -out were a breeze. No problem getting a free parking spot, either.
Negatives:
1. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced and painted. Rough ride and hard to distinguish parking spots.
2. This is pretty far south of the loop, Mag Mile, Navy Pier and other tourist destinations in the city. I would recommend to tourists only if they are comfortable driving in the city. Plus, it is like three minutes off Lake Shore Drive

Close to the Metra Metropolitan Rail, trains to Downtown Chicago every 30 minutes about 20 minute ride, conductors on the train selling tickets $3.75 one way.

I like the staff, they were very kind and helpful. The cleaning staff were very sweet and accommodating as well.
Negatives:
I paid for a room with a “view”, but my view was directly into the apartments across the way. Waste of money. The chair in our room was dingy and extremely scratched up, our carpet was stained. I was told onsite we had to pay an additional deposit for the room and never received it back. And the address itself, extremely difficult to find. Would not recommend to anyone at all.

Positives:
Daytime reception staff was very friendly. Great location for MSI. Free parking. Clean and comfortable beds. Good cleaning service - they replaced towels and toiletries every day.
Negatives:
For 3 out of the 5 days we stayed there we did not have any hot water - there was some problem in the whole hotel.
They ran out of coffee replacements for the room coffeemaker- or they forgot to replenish ours. The bread at the breakfast buffet was stale the whole time we were there - otherwise pretty decent breakfast selection.
