Positives:
Front door staff is the best in the city. They immediately make you feel welcome and the blue suits give a great old school Chicago vibe. Great pillow menu with sleep machine available. Bathroom was nice. Size and view from the Riverview suite were good.
Negatives:
Long wait to check in … very long wait to get a duplicate key. No room service past midnight. No house car. No key required to get to guest floors anyone can walk up. Overall, this is a very decent hotel but far from five stars I would say it’s comparable to the Lowe’s or LondonHouse. I stay in five star hotels in Chicago 30+ nights a year normally the Four seasons I will say other than the front door staff this hotel does not meet the standards in any category compared to any other five star hotel in the city. Waldorf Ritz Trump St Regis Park Hyatt Fourseasons all much much much better!
