Extended Stay America Suites - Chicago - Elmhurst - O Hare

Negatives: Nothing, everything was great.

Negatives: During the night the room got very hot but the heat/air unit would not work. We did not call the desk because it was 1am and did not want to wake our 3 year old who was having surgery that morning. I booked the hotel understanding there would be a continental breakfast in the morning. When we got to the lobby there was coffee ( no sugar), some packets of instant oatmeal ( no bowls) and a few muffins. We were not very happy with the selection. There was not one as the desk.

Negatives: Older room with very worn furniture and carpet. Microwave oven didn’t work. Smelled kinda old. No coffee in room (I missed that at booking.)

Negatives: The cleaning was horrible, not properly vacuume or mopped, there was crumbs and dust/dirt on the edges of the night stand. bathroom floors were not swept or mopped. There was spills all down the walls, the shower rod was detaching from the wall and the curtain didn’t fully closed water was going on the floor. Out of the 4 towels we had in the room not a single one was free of big yellow stains. Sheets had hair/fuzz as if someone had slept in them already and they weren’t changed.

Negatives: The smell of people smoking marijuana on the 3rd floor that’s all we smelled and it was very annoying.

Negatives: Very nasty odors, counters still had food on them, sink constantly dripping even when fully turned off

Negatives: The hotel reaked of marijuana smoke and was as dingey as a gas station bathroom in the public spaces. The staff were completely indifferent. The hotel room was very tired and run down with heavily worn carpet, damaged furniture, and a cracked sink.

Negatives: the dog feces all over literally in every spot. I told a staff member a dog pee inside by the outside door and the smell is terrible and she just said "okay whatever" and didn't clean it up it's 24 hours and it still there. They don't enforce cleaning up after your dog so literally every inch of the outside grass property has poop on it which I took pics to show corporate. When I first checked in my room was disgusting I also have picks of, what's the point of having cleaning staff if they aren't cleaning, food was under my bed, food stains that were sticky on the floor. When I first came I spent 4 hour whipping this room down walls and all and cleaning it. Than they try telling me I owe another 380 for my dog when I'm telling them I paid it through booking.com with my Affirm account. Corporate needs to do something. I'm not paying an additional 380 when I just spend $2100 to stay and the normal rate is around 1700... so clearly my pet fee is added . Oh and they police been here everyday for some sort of domestic abuse
