Negatives:
It was no longer called American Inn and Suites. It was called America's Inn (and Suites?). It appeared tired. When I pulled up, I noticed gambling machines in the small lobby. It looked like the desk attendant was behind a glass barrier (I am assuming for his or her own safety). The outside appearance of this motel made me feel unsafe. I went elsewhere.

Positives:
Very good value for the price. The staff was cordial and welcoming, the room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was the usual self-serve assortment of juices, yogurt. muffins, fruit, waffles, etc., with enough options to keep us happy.
There was a pleasant little patio with picnic tables at one end of the hotel. We weren't there long enough to use it, but it looked like a nice area for group use. There was also a washer and dryer available for use during the day.
Negatives:
Just two things, neither of which impacted our stay. First, it was a bit confusing to find the hotel, because on the sign it's called "America's Best Value Inn" not "American Inn and Suites."
Second, when I made my reservation, I received a form notice that, due to Covid, the pool would be closed and breakfast options affected. I had no plans to use the pool (which appeared to be in great shape and ready for use at this time), and breakfast wasn't noticeably affected, so this made no difference to me. However, if the pool is usable now, it would be a good idea to eliminate that form notice. If not, it should not be mentioned in the hotel profile that the hotel has a pool.

Positives:
The room was comfortable and clean. All the employees that I met were friendly and helpful. The water was hot. The location was inexpensive and it was close to all the places I needed to go for my visit. The hotel was good for what we paid for, it was not flashy with tons of amenities but it was very serviceable and clean.
Negatives:
When arriving the frontage road isn't well marked, it's not hard but easy to miss. There was an outlet(which included the alarm clock) that didn't work, to be fair I didn't notify the desk, I was a little busy. The pool is closed, but that is not listed on the website, there is a email notification that goes out after booking citing COVID may affect amenities, but is not clear on what. The breakfast is plain jane. Nothing bad, but it consists of waffles, toast/bagels, yogurt/fruit, and cereal.

Positives:
Well, I got there in the middle of a snowstorm so I can understand why the water wasn’t hot . But the room was really unclean. There was a half a roll of toilet paper
Negatives:
Very unclean there was still time on the microwave left like somebody was just there. No hot water.. we called in the morning
For late check out and still got kicked out at 12 even though we agreed at one we were in the middle of a snowstorm
