Negatives: The toilet was tilted to the side and felt like we were going to fall off, the shower curtain had mold. The beds slid every time we got on or off. The mircrowave had a huge melted spot in it and everytime we cooked something in it, it smoked and smelled really bad. They charged us a $50 damage deposit upon arrival which is fine but then they charged us an additional $100 AFTER we checked out. FOR A STAIN on the bedding. Even though they were already stained and full of cigarette holes. So we ended up being charged $150 for a stain. A stain! I understand keeping the $50 if they absolutely have to but to be charged an unexpected $100 on top of everything let alone the day after Christmas. And it wasn’t even a bad stain it was a paw print from our dog stepping in a puddle outside before coming in. They also complained about us not letting them know before we got there that we had a dog? Even though they are pet friendly. Before checking out we were loading up our stuff and the manager came around the building to check our room and questioning us about check out even though we weren’t fully ready to leave. Then he pounded on our neighbors door and walked away not even waiting on them to answer. It just feels wrong to take someone’s credit or debit card info and charge them an additional fee as you see fit. We didn’t sign anything stating additional charges. If they had an issue that needed more money they should have taken us to small claims rather than taking our banking info and charging us themselves. Oh and on top of everything it smelled extremely bad outside I’m not sure if there’s a sewer issue or something but it was awful. The saddest part is we left them a gift bag full of all kinds of things for them for the holidays and that ended up being our experience. Luckily once I contacted corporate they were very helpful and I got a good chunk of my money back and there is an open investigation into the incident.
