Loved the pool area. But we didn't get ti use.
Negatives:
Our room was a bit dirty. We found used tobacco pouches next to the bed on the floor. More my 1 year old found them. Pretty gross to be handed that.
We also weren't aware their would be a family reunion that weekend. We weren't able to use the pool as it was filled and no tables to sit at either.
Would have been nice to know, I could have scheduled a different weekend.
We ended up checking out the same day we go there due to the two factors.

Our stay was great.
Positives:
Great location to the University of Dubuque which was why we were there. We really enjoyed the restaurant, Old Chicago Pizza, that was located at the edge of the property. Nescafe coffee machine in the lobby for use by all guests.
Negatives:
Booking had us pay extra for breakfast and it ended up that breakfast was COMPLIMENTARY FOR ALL GUESTS! We paid an additional $35 or $40 per day for the 3 of us for breakfast and everyone got a buffet style breakfast free. Not the hotels fault, but definitely will no longer purchase anything additional through Booking.

When I went to check in the lady working the front desk was extremely rude. She stated she couldn’t find my reservation even with my confirmation. She gave zero effort to assisting and didn’t even bother to looking at my booking reservation which simply had my last name and first name switched. I will not be going back. I have never had an experience with someone being so unhelpful when it’s literally their job. The pool did not also go by their own rules. There were giant pool noddles in the pool with kids slapping them against the water. I had a young daughter who couldn’t even enjoy the entire reason we stayed at a hotel, the pool. Kids were diving into the hot tub. There were zero towels.
