Just the location. We were 5 minutes away where we were during the day.
Negatives:
Dirty, very dirty. I believe I saw blood of some sort on the walls in the room. Carpet was dirty like it wasn’t vacuumed in forever. There was construction going on, which I understand that happens, but the mess of the construction was all over the place. They should still keep a tidy place for people to come stay. The rooms were filthy. Another thing they should at least keep nice and clean. I booked this place due to them having a pool and with kids, that was the ticket! But I was not notified that even the pool will be under construction. Fine, let the pool be out of order, but let your guests know ahead of time what is going on with the hotel. Let the people decide if they want to stay there. At least give people comp money off or something. I also stayed there due to the “continental breakfast”. The only thing was the pancakes that was appetizing. Not much to choose from. The bread was stale, and not much selection of anything else. We could of stayed somewhere else were we would of got what I would have and paid for, but again I was not aware of this and got my choice made for me by the hotel. I also paid a lot of money for my dogs to spend the nights. Wonderful, I am happy I was able to but really this could of been something they could of not charged me due to everything that was going on.

The bed was clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Negatives:
The hotel was undergoing extensive renovations. It was dirty and dusty. The parking closest to the front was taken by construction debris and waste Making it difficult to even see the entrance. There was smoking on our non smoking floor that was clearly marked non-smoking. The pool was not open. The breakfast room was makeshift. All of this would have been understandable if I had been informed ahead of time but I arrived to a mess! The room itself was terribly dated and in marginal repair. The walls were damaged, the toilet ran off and on all night and jiggled when you sat down. Overall the room was very tired.

Plaster dust everywhere, not vacuumed up. Breakfast was gross and scant ! Never again. If I had booked privately, I would have went elsewhere. Will likely book hotels privately from now on.

I was upset that somebody was smoking in the hall where our rooms were and all the rooms were non-smoking. I'm allergic to cig smoke so I had to cover my face and run to my room before my throat swelled up.

Had to be there for my fathers hospital procedure. Booked it do to inclement weather..Was dirty very uncept asked if I could cancell my 2nd day reservation because my father was able to ho home and was told I had to cancell my 2nd day reservation by 11am... but when I went to check out, the gal told me 3pm in which I was stuck with the second day fees. In which we could not stay do to my father was sent home. I was not compensated in any way...I should have never been stuck with the second day fees.
