The property itself looked fine from the outside. Got to the hotel with a confirmed booking only to be told the reservation “didn’t go through on our end” and - oh yeah - there were no rooms left. Our power was out & we were stuck staying in our 50 degree home despite having a confirmed reservation. 2nd bad experience with a Candlewood Suites. It will be our last.

Positives:
Great location, comfy beds, friendly staff. Room was clean, and was a good value for an overnight stay.
Negatives:
The bathroom vent was LOUD. Especially when in the shower. I used it as little as possible as it would bother my ears after a bit. Also didn't catch that not all rooms have bathtubs. It wasn't a major issue for me this trip, but if you *need* a bathtub be sure to specify that you do.

Property is fine. However, the man that is generally there of Indian descent I believe is incredibly rude and basically micromanages your stay. I've stayed there several times. And he definitely should not be in any position of customer service

The man at the front...
Positives:
The location is easy to get to and located near the Portland Mall and lots of other things. The staff were friendly. The beds are super comfy. We had a two bedroom suite and it was nice and spacious
Negatives:
The rooms need maintenance attention and a deep cleaning. The carpets look grungy. Bathroom: The tub stopper didn't work properly and there was a piece that kept falling off. The back of the door was dirty. Kitchen: There was no sugar or creamer for coffee. And 3 out of the 4 plastic mugs were cracked and leaked.

My wife & i kept getting hang up calls during the night. It got bad we had to leave at 1sm in the morning. And i clearly saw you could use the card i reservation on. He would let me me yse. I could of swiped
