I couldnt sleep because they were noises all night from upstairs.

The hotel was nice, check in was friendly and easy, we got a free upgrade (which has never happened to us before), and the new room was really big, which was fun.
Negatives:
Breakfast had a real dearth of protein options. The bottom sheet on the bed wasn't quite big enough (didn't tuck in on the foot and head). Several minor things a bit broken. The room was really cold (set to 60), and took a while to warm up.

Positives:
Really great layout for the suite with plenty of space for working and relaxing. Staff were friendly even tho it the same guy seemed to be working the whole 36+ hours I was there. Breakfast was decent. Decent location. Pool and bar looked good although I didnt use them.
Negatives:
The shower looked like someone had been murdered in it, with cracked base and tiles! Not what youd expect for an executive suite! Lots of light from the parking lot leaked in at night.

Positives:
The same things we've always liked about this hotel, where we've stayed repeatedly; location, kitchenette, beds are really comfortable, big shower, good breakfast. Element Lexington had always been an impressively clean, modern, and well-kept place, and a good bargain.
Negatives:
The building has become pretty run-down since the last visit during covid. Shower had cracked floor and wall tile, had been remedied by smearing caulk over the cracks, someone had attempted to resecure cabinet hardware with drywall screws which hadn't been completely driven, leaving them sticking out, of two elevators only one was working, making for long waits as the housekeeping staff also uses the solitary elevator, dishes provided were dirty, probably because the dishwasher didn't work. (Apologies to housekeeping, only realized it wasn't working when I tried to turn it on as we were leaving...ended up leaving dirty dishes behind because we were overdue to leave)
At $220/night, we were very disappointed that it was so in dire need of skilled maintenance and upkeep. Left no longer feeling it was a bargain, and likely it was our last stay unless something changes.
