Positives: Location is safe and convenient, near highways and there's a Meijer (grocery store) down the road. Plenty of free parking. Wifi was good. Cable TV. Nothing fancy, but served its purpose as somewhere to crash for 2 nights while my days were full of errands and activities. I needed to be between Ann Arbor and Detroit, and this place served that purpose.

Negatives: Heads up - before 9am M-Sat or 10am Sun or after 10pm on any day...the front desk is CLOSED (metal gate pulled down over the front desk). There is a phone in the entryway that you call the "night agent" from via talking to the "emergency center". check in experience: i called to let them know I was going to be a late check in. They couldn't find my reservation. I had to talk to booking.com to verify my reservation went through (!), then i had to call the hotel back to verify, got a different person who said he was the off-site "emergency center" and couldn't see any reservation info and he "could not guarantee that my reservation could be met"...WHAT? imagine being told at 1am when you are arriving at 3am after a 7 hr drive - I could be stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay even though i made the reservation many hours earlier? He said because i booked through a 3rd party site, no rooms are guaranteed-this did not sound right to me. If that were true, no one would book on these sites! No one likes last minute surprises while traveling! I was pissed off immediately. check out experience: no one at front desk, told to leave key in the room. Would have been nice to know before i walked all the way over there and had to walk all the way back, all while in a hurry to leave. They should tell you this with a sign in the room on the door. Walls are thin, there's no breakfast. Room was dirty...worn out carpeting, dust visible in areas, surfaces weren't convincingly clean. Fridge looked like it was picked up off the curb...the door had spotted rust all over like it had been out in the rain. The cooktop had tilted burners and took a long time to heat up. NO SUPPLIES in the kitchen - you have to bring your own cookware, utensils, cutlery, plates/bowls. etc. Or rent sets from the hotel (see photo for pricing list). Better to go down the road to the grocery store and buy what you need.
