The door key system was down. So it you left the room you had to be escorted to your room to be let in.

Location was good. Close to the Minnesota Zoo and many restaurants.

The key card system wasn't working so we had to get escorted to our room to be let in everytime. It was advertised by the hotel that the pool opens at 6AM but Staff didn't open it until 8AM. It was freezing cold in the pool area, they must've had the AC on in there. The hottub jets barely worked, the jets would stay on for maybe 5.minutes and then turn off even when we set the timer for 15 mins. Breakfast options were very, very minimal....

The bathroom setup with the sink outside was in the room and the toilet and shower in a tiny space was awkward and provided little privacy.

Hot tub was not working, which was big to me. Sauna wasnt working. Pool was cold. Breakfast was lacking big time. No milk, no sausage eggs or biscuits. No creamers or anything to add to coffee.

We never got 2 beds that we paid for,we got 1 for 4 kids and 1 adult ,had to sleep on floor, no extra blankets or pillows was given we had to go buy some. When we went to take shower we found shower was broke no water,Toilet was broke.

You get what you pay for. There is a reason this hotel is so affordable.
Positives:
I liked how close the hotel was to the Mall of America and the Minnesota zoo. That's about it.
Negatives:
"Heated" pool not heated, hot tub broken, didn't check to see if sauna functional, bathroom doors didn't shut all the way or lock, what appeared to be urine soaked towel folded above our toilet as if it were new and clean, previous guests trash under/behind tv stand, mini-fridge non-functional, loud guests well past 1:00 am in multiple rooms next to and across from ours. When we arrived to check in, nobody was at the desk for a very long time. Appeared to be employee grill out in parking lot and they partied from at least 4:00 pm until late at night. General dirty room, hand prints on door, extensive hard water buildup on shower head, tv remote barely functional. Restroom in the pool area was disgusting with urine all over the toilet and no toilet paper. We're also very aware that numerous guests had other issues as well including non-functioning room keys because there were multiple guests lining up to lodge complaints when we showed the employees at the front desk the horrifying wet and likely urine soaked towel that was placed where clean towels should have been in our room.

Positives:
I rejected the first room because it had been smoked in recently (it was a no smoking room). The 2ndroom had no bath towel. Went to front desk who said itll be 1 - 1 1/2 hrs before the towels are out of the washer/dryer. Finally got a towel.
Negatives:
If you dont have enough towels for a full occupancy hotel you shouldnt be in business. Basics.
