SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Grand Island

Negatives: Many recharging plugs but unable to use 50% of them as the plug would not hold the prongs in the sockets. The shampoo dispenser was empty. We asked to have someone bring another refill but the person could not leave the front desk so had to use body soap on my hair. Our radio turned on at 6 am and we did not set the alarm.

Negatives: Used to be a Super 8 - so not up to Best Western standards. Thin walls and floors. Could hear darn near everything going on in the rooms next door and footsteps above. Could hear the neighbor snore most of the night. A pool in the middle of the hotel was very noisy - and created high humidity in the rooms. So a bit musty but not too bad. Location is on the main strip from I-80 with lots of traffic but it quieted down after 10pm.

Negatives: It smelled so bad of clorine that even the sheets and pillows smelled...Could not sleep with that smell permating everything!!!! The bathroom are was SSSSOOOOO SMALL we couldn't even put the toiletries out on the sink!! The shower area was so small you could barely turn around!!!

Negatives: Coffee machine was broken at time of visit but staff did what they could, not too big of a deal.

Negatives: Travelers beware. The reviews are definitely misleading for this hotel. Not only are there some absolutely rude people at the front desk they like to add charges to tour card at their convenience. We booked a double queen with a pull out and needed to be on the first floor. When we arrived they had us on the second floor (no elevator) so we asked if there was the EXACT same room set up in any of the rooms on the first floor. Was told yes no problem. However they didn't have it and we ended up in a double queen no pull out couch. May not seem like that big of a deal but two queen beds for 5 people just doesn't cut it. The rooms were clean but there was a smell. Not sure what it was. The beds were so uncomfortable that no one really slept well the two nights we stayed there. Breakfast was horrible. Unless it was packaged muffins or the yogurt it was gross. Sure the pancake maker was cool, but unless you like eating cardboard flavored pancakes I advise against it. The biscuits and gravy, I don't even know how to explain whatever that was. The shower was AWFUL! The temperature was never consistent, was either scalding hot or freezing. And tiny, My husband wasn't able to stand under the shower head at all and he's right at 6 foot. The bathroom itself is so tiny that the door missed hitting the toilet by millimeters. The rooms are not spacious at all and when you have 5 people to a room that small it's not a pleasant experience. One plus there was a pool for the kids, but the location of the pool was really odd. Wide open in the middle of the hotel. Rooms around it, but it's not enclosed. So for anyone staying in any of the rooms off the pool I'm sure it's rather inconvenient. Not to mention the slap of humidity that hits you as soon as you walk into the hotel. When we went to check out the lady at the front desk simply told my husband "sorry"... the new guy likes to just add charges, and charged us an additional 2 nights

Negatives: Maybe on weekends breakfast hours could b 1/2 hour longer

Negatives: Cant say there was anything with our stay that needed any improvement! This has been our choice that last few times we have came to GI to stay.
