La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Las Cruces

Negatives: Hotel in severe need of updates, general maintenence. Hardly any staff on-site. Cancelled overnight reservation because credit card machine not working. Desk asked us to pay cash up front. That was a definite NO for us.

Negatives: The description stated that breakfast was provided, however, when we arrived to the property there was a sign stating that they don't provide breakfast. The pool was closed. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. Our room key didn't work and we went to the front desk to have it reprogrammed and there was no one at the desk. We waited for about 15 minutes before the front desk person finally came inside to help us as well as another guest. There were only 2 of each size towels in the room and when I requested more, there seemed to be an issue. However, the night housekeeper on our last night gave us towels and soap with no hassle. The toilet was hard to flush. There was thick dust everywhere that we cleaned as well as the bathrooms with hair that we cleaned ourselves. I had never experienced such poor service at any La Quinta Inn that I have ever stayed at.

Negatives: They were out of coffee filters, there was no hand soap, the shower was painfully strong, and didn’t offer the advertised breakfast. A little more attention to detail and it would have been great.

Negatives: The first room we were assigned, the toilet wouldn't flush properly; in fact there was still S*** from a previous occupant floating around. The hallway carpets need replacing. They are very dingy and tattered. We were expecting a hot breakfast with waffles, etc. A sign at the front desk said they were not offering breakfast at this time. The person who checked us in said the refrigerator had died Similarly, the ice machine and pool was not functioning. There was a homeless person sleeping in the lobby the next morning and there was no one at the front desk to do anything about it.

Negatives: Usually the hotel is great. This visit, the room hadn't been cleaned, maid marked clean, the ac didn't work in the room, so hot and stuffy, the pool was closed, water was mucky and the fridges were out ,so no breakfast.

Negatives: There is too much to type. The whole experience was quite unpleasant. We did not end up staying there based on the service upon check in.

Negatives: We didn’t like that there was no breakfast, the thermostat didn’t work in the room. The bathtub was too patched up. The room needs a remodeling due.

Negatives: They promised a hot breakfast, but only gave a paper bag w/ a piece of fruit, a granola bar and a cellophane-wrapped mini muffin. The promised fitness center didn’t exist. The heating system in the room didn’t work, even though it got down to the 40s F at night. There was only a third of a roll of toilet paper in the room. Two lightbulbs didn’t work. There was no ice bucket or facial tissue. The mattress was way too soft.

Negatives: Door appeared broken… difficult to use. Heavy smell of cleaning solution in room.

Negatives: Hallways need new carpet, need an elevator, exterior doors for the property need the card readers fixed. Location has some homeless around, probably some fencing or security guard might help there, better lighting in certain areas. No breakfast given due to new fridge needing to be inspected.

Negatives: We didn't discover until the next morning that the hotel was not serving breakfast, leaving us to scramble (no pun intended) to find something to eat. The room also had a strange odor.
