Location was excellent. We were on our way from the Petrified Forest, Arizona to our next stop in Alamagordo, New Mexico and found Socorro a small, quiet town that was ideal for us as we didn't want to drive until the next day. The hotel is already quite old and basic but staff were very helpful and accommodating - loved that most about our stay.

The room was clean.
Negatives:
The key card lock on the door didn't work. The stairway was a dirty mess. When I arrived there was no one at the office to check in, and no one responded to either pressing the alert button or banging on the door adjacent to the office. At the breakfast, there was no milk or half and half for the coffee.

I enjoyed the waffle. The breakfast was very basic but still it was nice to have hot coffee, fruit, and other items that were quick and easy to prepare and eat.

The wi-fi was slow and the A/C unit was quite loud.
