I liked that a new manager/owner came up to my wife and I the following day and inquired about improvements that could be made for the establishment. This allowed for an honest and open dialogue about the multitude of the issues faced with the hotel room.
Negatives:
This was actually the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The primary factor for this involved staying in a smoking room that smelled awful and had sticky surfaces despite having purchased an overpriced non-smoking room that had not even been reserved.

It had an odor, floors dirty, found a sock, no baseboard, microwave and coffee pot gross, no battery in the smoke detector, ice pop frozen into the ice in the refrigerator, stained disgusting chairs, beds, curtains, ceiling leaked when people showered ups

Room was 48 degrees on the thermostat shower had long black hair in it long black hair all on the towels shower handle broken making water too hot or too cold bed had stains in both and on pillows floor covered in stains towels had stains

My family and I went there, the entrance smelled like mold and cigarettes, and our room smelled nasty with someone's hair in the bathroom. I canceled my reservation, and they didn't refund me.. so we found another hotel to stay in down the street

It was slightly cheaper than other options in the area. Not worth the savings (see below).
Negatives:
I thought the smell in the lobby and hallways was off-putting, then stepped in my room and was hit with a stench of body odor, feet, and mildew. There were hairs on the bed, the sink and faucet were visibly dirty, and even the carpet didn't look vacuumed.

Felt unsafe, people loitering in hallways & in stairwells, threadbare carpets, holes in carpets, towel bars ripped off our bathroom wall, stains on bed spreads, stains on blankets. Door was too small, had to put chair against door, lock very loose. Halls smelled of curry.
