Positives:
Depending on the purpose of your trip this could be an excellent location. Especially for first time visitors. I prefer Soho area but for my friends who wanted to walk around all the sights this was great. Its spotless. Its newly furnished. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are fine. The room is rather compact but well thought out. No waredrobes but plenty other places to put things. There are couple of bars and a coffee shop which are part of the hotel which is very useful and we spent a lot of time in those. We stayed on the 8th floor and we didnt hear any noise from the club on ten top floor. It is pricey but so are all the other hotels in manhattan.
Negatives:
We were 3 people in a standard double room with 2 double beds and it was not comfortable. The beds are made for 1 person. The room is really small. This isnt a fault of the hotel Im just mentioning this in case somebody is considering doing the same.

There was a cafe where you could get great snacks, pastries and good coffee.
The shower had a leak, when I called this in it was fixed immediately.
The bed was super super comfortable and I had two nights excellent sleep.
Great location with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
Negatives:
We were not told that there was complimentary coffee available at the adjacent cafe. The staff in the cafe were not friendly at all.
The reception/front desk staff were ok, could have been friendlier.
We were not told before arrival or upon check in that we got credit towards laundry and the cafe per day - this, and to be sent a menu would be very handy and useful information to have before arrival.
My room’s floor was really dusty and dirty with nail clippings everywhere. I put in a complaint but nothing was done to clean it and the next day the floor still hadn’t been cleaned.
