Positives:
The staff were lovely, and understanding and couldn't do any more to try to help if needed.
Negatives:
Rooms and hallways massively needed upgrading, wallpaper peeling off walls. We were moved rooms due to being located right next door to the hotels rooftop bar, which was very loud, and public so that you could hear clearly people waiting for lift back down when leaving. Bugs in the bathroom and smelled very damp. Room we moved to was much better but still very run down. Located on a VERY busy street!

Positives:
Location on 32nd street. 5min walk from 33rd st station with an entrance directly at the corner of 32nd street for BDFM (orange) and NQRW (yellow) as well as Path as well as 10 min to 456 (green) is just amazing. 15 min walk to Times Square. Almost every midtown tourist destination within 30e in or less including all Broadway theatres.
Negatives:
Reservation was not properly logged, so check-in took almost 40min. Room is run-down, aged, (not yet vintage) and stained. No evidence of cleaning or sheet chance in 7 day stay (only straightening of the sheets). Everything (just) fine for a $40/night motel in the a small town, but not at this pricepoint, even in New York. Reception/lobby was in half construction state, hopefully for the better. Elevators sometimes jammed and got stuck. Bar at the rooftop is pricey, unfriendly and attracts similar customers. Korea town is even more smelly then the rest of New York.

Surprisingly large room given the Midtown location. Excellent location and super friendly staff. Immaculately clean with very comfortable bed in our Superior King room.
Negatives:
Only downside was just two lifts so a bit of a wait at peak times but would not stop me staying again.
