Positives:
The water and Statue of Liberty view. The big soaking tub. The amenities (turn down service, umbrellas). The staff.
Negatives:
Location is at the tip of Manhattan, which was great for our stay because we were doing things in the area. But nighttime activity in the area is quiet. If you are looking for the more active areas of NYC, the are either a subway or taxi/uber ride away.

Spacious rooms and nice views. Staff was very friendly.

The had many hidden fees and chargers. It clearly states the have free WiFi in the hotel along with compliment coffee and tea in the morning and a gym. Only to find out at check out a $40 a night facility fee. I asked why, they said for WiFi, gym etc.
Positives:
The rooms are very large. They upgraded us for free to a double bed room from a king room. The staff is very friendly and gave my kids a private escort to see the statue of liberty from the ballroom on the 14th floor.
Negatives:
The room had a very odd smell? Maybe someone smoked there at one point? I cannot complain about anything, the hotel was really pretty great! I mean it's an old Ritz property... enough said!

The staff were excellent. They were always friendly and made me feel like a valued customer. Service was excellent.
Negatives:
There was an additional service fee which I feel is supported given the service levels provided. i like having water available in the room but would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Coffee was available at the lobby level which was appreciated.
Positives:
location and the staff
Negatives:
Mini refrigerator would have been great
Positives:
The room was very large by NYC standards, bathroom had a large soaking tub in addition to the separate shower. The room had a great view of NY harbor and Statue of Liberty.
Negatives:
The only thing I can say I wish were different was there was no coffee in the room. I really need coffee in the morning before heading out the door!
Positives:
Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room had a great view overlooking the harbor.
Negatives:
The hotel is more of a 4 or 4 1/2 star, but it's still really nice and worth the money.
Positives:
The staff and hotel was awesome.
Positives:
Staff is very friendly and truly make you feel at home. Very engaging. The views of the Statue of Liberty from our room were awesome. The relaxing setting of the Liberty Lounge helped us start our days off right.
Negatives:
Safe did not work. Staff did try to fix it, but it was completely broken. Beds are a litter firm for my taste and some of the room furniture was beat up. No fridge in the room is a mystery.
Positives:
Staff help and room
Negatives:
