The hotel is also dorm for SU students. There were students living on the same floors we were staying in. It looked a little tired and run down. The floor that we stayed looked worn and a little dirty. It looked like they hadn't been maintaining the property. Come to find out, they are closing the hotel in May and converting it into student housing. So I suspect they haven't been maintaining it in anticipation of that changeover.

The beds were tiny and uncomfortable.

we booked the room with queen bed and bathtub and upon arrival it was said we were booked for 2 doubles? Then we were put in a queen room which had no bathtub so we had to change rooms.

Location is ideal for visiting an SU student. That is really the only reason to pay so much. The attached restaurant had decent food but somewhat overpriced.
Negatives:
This is not a good value for the money. Cost for parking is high (this is Syracuse, not NYC). Beds were only so-so for comfort. There is a pool, though it's quite small. Really all you are paying for here is proximity to the SU campus
