Candlewood Suites is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. However, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone.

Positives:
Staff was excellent, location was excellent, and room itself was excellent. Price was fair. Welcoming of our pets.
Negatives:
There was a burn mark on the carpet and a few stains on one wall by the window. Thinking they could be cleaned up or painted over. Also some stains on the recliner chair.
I wish it had continental since the price is very comparable to other suites nearby with breakfast offered. The kitchenette was convenient though.
Comfortable Dog walkability was limited.

The location to our family was good.
Negatives:
After specifically requesting well in advance (1+ month) a handicap room with a shower for 8 nights, we arrived to find that other guests had been placed in these rooms. We were then given a room until the next day a room meeting our specified request could be given. This was most inconvenient as we could not settle into our stay for another day. We were told that this would be made up to us by removing one night stay from our bill at checkout. Upon check out we were told that this could not be done because we had booked through travel agency and also because we were not IHS members. However, I did remind the individual checking us out that they did have my credit card on file because when we checked in they needed in case we charged anything from the snack area or appliance check out. I was told the hotel manager would call me to see what could be worked out. To date, 2 days later, I have not received a call.
Additionally, the kitchenette area was very dirty. The filthy skillet the front desk replaced along with a can opener that was nasty. The shelves above the sink area was also filthy and the collection of dust unbelievable.
We will not stay at this Candlewood Suite location again, although staff very nice.
