La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raleigh Cary

Negatives: The overall appearance of the location is not what I expected. VERY dirty, dusty and missing a lot broken things. No shampoo or conditioner

Negatives: We drove three hours. Could not check in till 4. We had event tickets at 4 and got there at three in the dot. Needed to use the lobby restroom and it had hair conditioner and no soap. We told two front desk employees and nothing was done. The room was outdated. The tub was stained. Behind the toilet seat was not clean. The “secured side door” that required a room key was not operating. So anyone could enter the guest area. There was pile or debris outside in one of the parking spaces that also had a toilet thrown in. Felt like a dumpster would have been more appropriate. I had to park next to pile and toilet when I entered the insecure door. Value does not have to mean cutting all of the corners. Why could we not check in? Yes we had a pet but it’s a pet friendly hotel. Staffing shortages yes but the a man came in AFTER us for room 112 with a pet and got a key right away. My daughter told me she had previously stayed at a La Quinta and enjoyed it. My old boss raved about the hotel chain and this just ruined it for me. Missed a performer I paid to see. Was embarrassed without my out of town guest. It was just not a good experience at all.

Negatives: A little dated compared to the newer facilities. But not bad at all. Ex. No usb plugs

Negatives: Room cleaned about every other day or so. Not a big deal since my party was pretty clean, but that was my experience. Another nitpick is that breakfast was the same everyday (stayed 6 nights) and was pretty plain (eggs, sausage patties, waffles, etc), but the grocery store is next door for extra variety.

Negatives: Housekeeping never came to clean my room despite multiple requests.

Negatives: I didn't like that housekeeping never came to change our bed sheets despite multiple requests.

Negatives: Breakfast stops early Dirty

Negatives: The AC in the room had a mildew/pee smell coming from it. The control panel on it did not work to turn it off, up, down, of anything. The control did not turn the tv off or on, it only worked once the tv was manually turned on. The curtain had a huge stain on it. Small sofa/chair was also stained along with the side of the bed with what looked like what you’d imagine. Our fridge in the room was completely frozen and was not working so we couldn’t keep our babies juice cold or food we brought. I was willing to look past all of that until I went to take a shower and stepped in and completely fell. The tub was so slippery and had no types of gripes or anything. The small circles in the bottom of the tub, which I’m assuming was grips at one time, had completely been rubbed off to wear their is no texture at all to them.
