The peace a quiet. The staff were very friendly and there was always someone with a smile.
Negatives:
The pool, which I hyped up for the kids, was open the day we arrived but then shut down for repairs at 8pm that evening so we couldn't even go swimming. Please, upon check-in, alert the guests when the pool or other amenities may close down. If we knew it was shutting down the day we checked-in we would've went straight to the pool before doing anything else. Very disappointing to say the least. Really put me in a bad head space.
On top of that, where was housekeeping? We did not elect to pass the housekeeping, they just never showed up. SO WE HAD TO MAKE OUR OWN BEDS AND REQUEST FOR SIMPLE ITEMS TO BE REPLENISHED. I understand the hotel may be short staffed or maybe because there were only a few guests in house that housekeeping was understaffed but come on, at least make the beds and restock used items. There were items in the hall that weren't picked up from the previous guests stay. I mean, I felt like the Omni Bedford Springs is just playing hotel, not really being a hotel. Maybe my time there would have been different if someone would have told us about the pool closure, but nonetheless, I couldn't wait to leave and get home to my own bed. If you're charging more that $300 a night for a simple room, you have to do things worth the stay of $300 / night. I wouldn't expect excellence from a 2 or 3 star hotel, but if you're going to say you're 4 star, then you need to be 4 star and at least meet our expectations.

We loved the relaxing atmosphere and enjoying the pool games free beverage and popcorn and kids movie along with the live entertainment.
Negatives:
Trying to get a meal because of two large groups that apparently had 20 and they went in the tavern without a reservation?! So we had to walk in the cold to the clubhouse which was fabulous but this was the coldest day with real feel -2
