The staff was excellent -- especially the check-in employees and housekeeping. Actually everyone at the hotel was super friendly.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotels interior design is elegant and appealing. The room was spacious with a beautifu skyline view. The beds were very cosy. The outdoor pool was heated. Although we had warm sunny weather, it was great for swimming (especially in the morning).
Negatives:
The furniture (i. e. wardrobe) was of low quality. Some areas were not well maintained (i. e. lounge seats at the swimming pool). Wifi and breakfast were not included although the rate by night was comparetively high. The table, I was placed at for breakfast was not properly cleaned and showed stains. The employees although friendly seemed sometimes demotivated and lacked professional appearance.
Compared to other hotels, the W hotel in Philadelphia misses plenty of "little" opportunities to make the customer's stay a true enjoyable experience.

The only downside when the hotel is busy the valet cn take sometime but other than that I loved it

The room was top tier.
Negatives:
The representative almost charged my card twice after I told her that the room was already pre paid for.
Also, housekeeping knocked on the door at 930 am to clean the room before we were ready to check out.
