Breakfast was cold. Guest were going to their rooms to microwave it. Came back to hotel one night to some guest peeing on stone wall by outside firepit. Didn't feel safe.

The room we were in I started sneezing and my eyes burned and my throat was starting to close. Their had to be a Cat in the room before us. I'm very allergic. I was having brain surgery the next morning. The front desk changed our room thank God to a room on the top floor all the way down from the elevator. I understand it's a pet friendly hotel but I don't think you should allow cats. Lots of people are allergic. I've stayed at this hotel many times and never had a problem. I have to get a hotel again in your area in June but I don't think I can stay with you anymore. Very disappointed. Ilene roberts

Had one experience where my husband asked about when breakfast was starting and the person at the desk tried to ignore him and only agreed silently? Im sure that person was just having a tough day.
Positives:
The location was great! The room was bigger than I expected and very comfortable! The staff were friendly and helpful! It was nice to stay in a big room with so many accommodations, close to Charleston and a great price! Plus plenty of parking and close to places to eat and shop.
Negatives:
We chose not to eat the breakfast. Nothing appealed to us. But I did have coffee!

Positives:
Bed was comfortable but the fitted sheet kept coming off during the night, so it felt gross to not have a sheet under me. There was also a faint smell of dog somewhere around the pillows and headboard.
Negatives:
Breakfast was horrible! Came down at 8:15 on a Friday and it was not being replenished. I opted for toast with cream cheese and jelly which was not good. Coffee cups were out, plates and bowls were out. Utensils were found in a drawer. For hot food, there was a sealed bowl and a wrapped item. Didn't even bother to see what they were.
Also I didnt know animals were allowed here, and we heard barking dogs frequently, even during the night and early in the morning.
Also when reserving a suite, I dont like this new trend of only having a curtain or partition. A separate room is expected.

The fire alarms sounded at midnight and again at 2am. They silenced within about 1 minute. Front desk said that it was false alarms. Very frightening and stressful. Fire department did not come either time. Was not offered even an apology.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay at the hotel. Our daughter gave us a Hilton gift card that you can use at any Hilton Hotel, but this location would not accept it. Thankfully, there was a Tru Hotel up the street that was amazing. Very clean, great breakfast, and the staff was amazing. They accepted our gift card with no issues. The young lady at Tru was fabulous. After our stay at Tru, we were very happy that Home 2 Suites didn’t book us. A blessing in disguise!!

The desk staff on duty were not accommodating at all. Very blunt and dismissive. They didn’t try to help at all, even after we let them know that we were from out of state. I was very disappointed with them. No help at all.
