Positives: Location was great for our service dogs recheck
Negatives: Staff was very kind except at check-out. This hateful front desk female was rude, hateful, disinterested in my needs to book a new date for my next stay, unfriendly, and unsympathetic to my handicap needs. And charged me for my service dogs stay. She told me she had to see my card or papers to verify my dogs credentials. I told her she was not allowed to ask for that. I told her she violated my rights. And she still insisted that she could and charged me for my dog. I have a very bad neck injury and I need surgery. Right now my dog is in training with me and we discovered this past Christmas she needed eye surgery. We have been to Charleston 3 times since March to see Dr. Fischer. Long story short on your hotel, I called and reported this incident to the hotel manager named David. He was very apologetic. He also refunded the $75.00. I am returning this week to stay at the hotel again and bringing my service dog for another surgery. All I can say, is I hope I am treated better and with the respect I deserve as a person with a disability. I hope the manager made it a point to re-educate this girl with attitude. I was totally discriminated against and unjustly humiliated in front of others. When I go back this Tuesday, I hope I do not encounter her.
