The staff was very prompt and communicative. Also the location was perfect.

When we first got there the room was still dirty, however, as soon as I let the staff know they sent someone to clean it and it was much better.

The other room that we moved the light from the bathroom was blanking not working property and missing few things for the coffe machine

Everything was brand new. Everything was really clean. We could walk right on to the beach from where we were. There was ample parking.
Negatives:
Since it was completely contactless it took a long time to get in touch with someone to be able to access our room. We found that texting the number worked better than calling it but it still took finding a housekeeper to get in touch with whoever was in charge with the checking in process.

The 100 ft walking distance to beach was the best and unfortunately the ONLY redeemable part of our stay at mermaid inn. Staff was nice and courteous.
Negatives:
Felt like a horror movie motel. It wasn't clean and had window unit acs. The attached room smelled musty had hard beds. They finally let us have the late check out we asked for on booking .com. but when I originally mentioned it, they wanted a $45 charge.
