Quality Inn Rapid City

Negatives: One of the beds had hair on and under the pillows and in the sheets. Front desk person offered to change the sheets or move us. He was the only one on staff and it was late so I opted to change the sheets myself and give him the dirty bedding. Floor had food on it. Not the first time we have had cleanliness issues with this hotel but we wanted to give it one more try.

Negatives: The pool looked very murky, the pool area was freezing cold even before getting in the pool it’s just super cold in the area. The hallways are also very cold and it smelled like something was on fire the whole time even after I told staff there was a man burning stuff over a barrel outside the door on the first floor on the exit facing Mount Rushmore road. The breakfast was disgusting! Also on top of that the front desk guy who was there early in the morning during breakfast was beyond rude, he told my niece who is 2 to put shoes on before going in to the breakfast area which I can understand, but that was not the problem when we came back there were a lot of people and children down in the breakfast area not wearing shoes the same man who told us to get shoes goes on to walk by and ignore the fact that all of these people were not wearing shoes it angered me because we were the only non whites in there and when I called and addressed the issue he was rude! I wouldn’t recommend staying at a place where their workers are racist!

Negatives: the noise and the consideration

Negatives: Bathroom sink was clogged, so we couldn't brush our teeth. The toilet ran all night long affecting my sleep. Bedbugs. Both of us had bites. No sausage for continental breakfast, and when asked, staff was uncaring.
