Poplar Suite was CLOSED AND OUT OF BUSINESS!!
Imagine our surprise when we pull into the parking lot and it is vacant.
We had to scramble to find somewhere to stay.
We could have been stranded.

We had a two bedroom and two bathroom we couldn’t use but one the second bathroom floor was so wet I called the office the man can and look at it and told me the lady was going to clean it up I wait hours until I called back the man answered the phone saying he sorry everybody gone for the day still nobody can to check the bathroom

We were unable to stay here. I'm not sure what happened, but upon our arrival, the hotel looked as if it was being renovated. There were about 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot. There was nobody in the lobby, so we were not able to get in. I tried calling the hotel several times that night and had no answer. We went to the hotel next door to get information as to what was going on, and they couldn't provide us with no further information. It was horrible just about all the surrounding hotels were booked bc there was an event going on the weekend. After about 4 stops at different hotels, we finally were able to book a room for the night

Everything was great. The kitchen setup was good it saved us money from having to eat out we just cooked at the room

There wasn’t enough kitchen stuff to use. Like forks spoons or pots and pans. We had to buy some stuff to use in the kitchen. The dishwasher door kept coming open unless you locked it

Positives:
We did not stay at the property because it smelled like smoke: This after signing a form that had been photocopied so many times—and so poorly so, that some of the agreement was not legible. This hotel was under construction, so there was no room to park on our side of the hotel; or was in such an ugly part of Memphis, that O didn’t want to leave my car overnight.
Negatives:
I was not offered a refund, because I booked through Priceline, but they were displaying the room for Booking.com. WE DID NOT STAY at the property because it was so far at variance with the advertisement. The room was smoke-smelling and had a dark feel. NOTHING like the well-lit room in the ad. We did not stay. The hotel next door had a security guard positioned to keep people from this property away from their well-lit, actual 3-star hotel.
