The staff was so rude that it ruined my stay there. Even the management was very disrespectful. They made us feel like we were criminals or something. Definitely racist towards white guests. I'm a combat veteran and felt very disrespected. I wouldn't refer anyone to that place.

front desk agent did well under difficult circumstances...long lines at check in..no help...at primary check in time there should be flexible available staff to jump in

The hotel is obviously very old and that in itself puts it as some disadvantage.. but public area carpeting was dirty and worn, basic painting and overall maintenance was lacking or non existent. rust on bathroom fixtures in guest room, mixing valve in both sink and shower fixtures was in need of replacement, foam in pillows was lumpy in all 4 pillows. in general , somebody at the property is not paying attention to the details nor is the inspector for the brand. hopefully this is not an owned hotel, but exemplifies how the franchise model is failing. i have stayed in other La Quinta often, this one should not be in that brand because the new or modified properties provide great overall experiences and that's why i choose La Quinta....now i have my hesitations for using them in the future because they can be inconsistent
