Positives:
We enjoyed the variety of the breakfast fare each day. The coffee in the rooms is not good, maybe too bitter, or even old and rancid, or the coffee makers are dirty, however, the coffee in the breakfast room is good and fresh. The breakfast lady is cheerful and nice, The hotel is located conveniently to the various sites we visited. The hotel did smell nice inside.
Negatives:
The entry into the building is always messy: dirty or muddy. At least the water leak in the parking lot was now fixed. The lobby has mud during the rain, and dried mud during the sunny days. I am aware that some of the oilfield guests bring this in, but why does the staff not address asap? One day during our recent stay, we noted that the lobby has just been mopped and someone had walked across the floor, leaving a trail of dried mud bits. It appears to us that the staff is not proud of where they work. Then there is the room; we walked in and noted pebbles and dirt on the entry floor. As we were placing our luggage and other items, we noted potato chip crumbs in a corner. The carpets have unattended stains. The bathroom floor needed mopping as it was dirty. Some of the furniture was dirty, needing dusting and polishing. Perhaps the cleaning staff is not apprised of the extent to clean, or they just do not care. Even the elevator needs cleaning. I could pay less and expect this at another place. For the price of the room, I would hope for much more cleanliness. We seem to always be assigned a room near the trash bins or the laundry. The highway noise can be a bother. The other thing that annoys me is that when you walk into the lobby, there is not a person behind the desk to greet you. You have to stand at the desk wondering if anyone is there (of course they are, CC).
